Still .... sad to see it's for sale.  I was hoping that the fun at the Sand Drags would be keeping it in the family.

Hi GKR,

Even before I got involved in sand drags a year ago, I never really intended to keep her.  I just wanted to have some fun before saying “goodbye”.  Except for the six solo runs on Maui to get my NHRA Comp license, my only regret is not having the pleasure of "racing" her on an asphalt ¼ mile and to see how fast she could really go.  With enough time to test and tune I am sure she could run in the mid to high 9’s.

She still has a chance to fulfill what she was made to do…to race on asphalt….but it’s not possible here on Oahu.  So please help me find her a good home.

So sad to hear you never had the chance to even run her hard on a 1/4 track.

Good luck with the sale !

...and please keep us updated on that wicked S10 your building.

GLWS Speedy,
It's been very sad to hear of racers and their cars ending the racing journey on Oahu after the death of HRP.  I also get very emotional when discussing this topic ... sniff, sniff, sob, sob, grr ...

Thanks for keeping the faith and the passion for the sport of drag racing, like I tell others "It's in the blood and if I need to explain, then you wouldn't understand".  Looking back, I still recall in my senile head the days prior to your car transforming into full-race mode and the two white IROC Z's parked near each other in the "top pit" area, the other car being Jason's "Second Childhood".

Unfortunalely, reality is also setting in for some of us remaining optimists ... sniff, sniff, sob, sob, grr.

Much mahalo to the Speedy Ohana for the great memories!

Great skills in the painting dept.!

Camaro, trailer and tow car has been sold.  So happy that she has found a new home on Kauai.  Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word that she was for sale.  Really going to miss her.  Cry
