scott, i know that feeling too! was a monthly occurence for us crew members last season with the car the way it was. im glad *knock on wood* that we've got most of the handling issues under control now.
once these guys get to know their car they know when they HAVE to lift, i guess, and when they can drive through it...

Hehehehe... I've always wondered if this car had the oats to do a smokey burnout through the beams.  Today as I was burning out I thought "let's find out!"  I held about 7k out of the water and started to drift to the right so I had to get out of it just past the beams.  Not really necessary for a car like mine, but damn was it fun!

i KNOW there's some sort of NHRA/IHRA rule that doesnt allow cars slower than a certain e.t. to pass the starting line on burnouts.. dont ask me what that cutoff e.t. is, but that rule is out there...

now being that you're at an unsanctioned track, anything goes!!!! hahaha...

I was expecting an earful but no one seamed to care.  Smoke was still coming out of the car when I pulled off the return road.

Dunno if the rules changed, but in Pro Gas when I was on the board, each car was allowed ONE burnout across the line.  Regardless if/when we were an NHRA track, we did not run our races according to their rules.  It's at the discretion of the starter as to give you a hard time about it or not.  To me, as a former BOD, as long as it doesn't hold up the program, and it's entertaining... roast those fuckers!!
